Just input on Emblems

Hey all

As some of you know I have Cobra emblems on my 1995 GT. Some like it some dont. These where the embelms that I almost went with before I got the Cobra one's. I am debating on switching them now. Maybe it is time I dont give Cobra a good name but the GT instead. I now there is not alot of 600HP GT's running around.

Let me know what you think.

I looked everywhere and these bar far are the best. At least I think so. Just not sure if I like teh all Polished look or the 3 tri bar color ones.

Its your ride (and a nice one at that). Im pretty sure you knew that some people would not like it when you got those Cobra emblems but you liked them so you got em. Put any thing on your car you like. At the end of the day you are the only one who has to look at it. Well maybe not anything..... You may get some flack if you rock some honda emblems on your Stang LOL!!!

Put any thing on your car you like. At the end of the day you are the only one who has to look at it. Well maybe not anything..... I just wish I had a way to see them on my car before I purchased them.

Are you kidding!!!! We have some Photoshop GODS in this forum. They could put any emblem you want on your car. Hell, Im pretty sure they could mount some wings on it if you ask them nicely... LOL

Ken, I went through the same thing and I settled on something generic. There HAS to be something out there that won't get someone else's panties in a wad. LOL

Also send me some links or advice on other embelms. I decided to take of the Cobra embelms. It is time to represent the GT crowd.

Also a little advice. I had the car painted about 4-5 Months ago and added the embelms a week after. What is the best way to get them off and clean the tape off without anytype of damage to the paint.

If they're on with double sided tape, then you can use a piece of fishing line. Use it to "saw" behind the emblem back and forth until you've gone from the top to the bottom and the emblem is free.

That's easy enough.....leave them the hell alone. Your car rocks just the way it is and this is coming from a Cobra owner. I will be honest with ya....I am tired of hearing about all the damned drama about it/them/people/nonsense. It is YOUR car!!!! Do with it what you want! It looks good with the emblems and will still look good with any emblom you put on(Minus the VTEC one).

Um...sorry to say but get used to it and friggin ignore it because when you have Cobra badging on a GT you will either get it and not hear it or get it and someone with enough balls will tell ya about it. Your car is pure sex. Leave it alone and get over it.

Get over what? Am I crying over this, no. I was just giving my thoughts.

I am one to speak my opinion but I wont bash on anyone either.

If anything it makes me put things in prospect, so to say.

I apperciate the comment on the car. I know you are just stating a opinion and giving me some advice. But sometimes it is good to proof read what you type. I always try to.

I have been looking on ebay. I know there is a few shops out there that carry a nice selection of side emblems and front embelms. I am also looking for the running horse with blue flames or so on.


So any links or so on would be much apperciated.

Wow...Please do not take me the wrong way man.... I am a very happy go lucky kinda guy!!!!!! I will never bash on you or your ride but every since the drama it is like you have had a chip on your shoulders. We like to keep a FAMILY atmosphere here. No need for drama. I have no beef with you or the other fella. I love both your cars and would change nothing on either!!!!! All I was trying to say was in a very polite manner that people will talk crap about anything they do not agree with..... You have to ignore it, and get over it. With the get over it part all I meant was basically forget it. If you need to hash things out with them do it in PM's or even by a phone call. Most if not all of us love every style, shape, or form of Mustang so it really doesn't matter what you have in it or on it. I am not sure what the whole proof reading part was about but i am a red neck from West By GOD Virginia so if it is grammatical blame my teachers!!!!!!

Hey no problem. I apperciate the input and made a change which I listed on this site to check out my new embelms. As for a chip on my shoulder it was not that. I felt more like I was being attacked so to speak. After reading over and over what all you where saying I understood and made changes.

As for the Proof Reading. What I meant by that is not grammer but how you word things. In person you can see how a person is talking and carrying the conversation. Over the computer you cant. So it makes it hard to know what you mean by your statement.

I am also an easy going guy, but will stand my ground when I think I am being attacked or put down. As most people would.

No hard felling's and looking forward to trying to get the Inland Chapter going.
