That would probably put you at-least in the mid 8's right?

If I where you I would go for it... My buddy that has the Shop back in Mo is even talking to Dante. He blew up his FOX at Pinks all out and now has a lightning. He pulled his motor did ported heads, cams, bored the block, and ported the blower. I am sure a little more stuff but that is just the big things he runs mid to high 12's. Those things are very heavy. He uses 93+ gas LOL I asked him what he was talking about and he said he tuned it for 93 but it needs higher oct. I am not putting the truck down I love them dont get me wrong but They are pigs. With his a 450+ to the wheels it still feels slow. I drove it and its a very nice truck I just dont like the Exhaust on them you can really hear them humming or roaring depending on what exhaust you have. He plans on selling his for a Roush or Harley truck for his family. I told him to post on here when he does.

I thought he had pics of his truck up but he dont you can see his fox in videos though. He wanted to tune my car while I was there but I had to come back to Cali and just tune it again. I watched him tune 5 or 6 cars while home. A 02GT with Nos ( 100 shot) made 370RWHP and 450RWT after he tuned the car. I seen him make gains of 45+ RWHP over Bamachip tune. I was close to saying tune mine and I will just data logg when I get back LOL but another problem is that when I hit Mexico I could only get 90 oct gas. I cant wait to move back... and help the MO chapter get running

If you want to get a ported blower Steggy can ship you one so you have it, charge you a core charge, and then give you the money back when you ship yours in. This is what I did when I did mine. I reccomend the highest port with everything, 6lb lower as mentioned and whatever steggy says is the smallest you can run without causing damage to engine/blower. If you have the blower we can remove yours install the new one, bigger injectors, bigger maf, boost a pump if needed then all that would be left is a tune. Now I have not tooled on a Lightning before but I am quite sure I can figure it out. If you are serious then I will do some reading up on them and get aquainted with them.

I had never tooled around on Cobra's either and my car went from bone stock to what it is now in about three days lol. Also Steggy is short for Stiegemeier.

uh, no. I ran 8.70s stock, 8.20's with a 4lb lower. With a port, stick tires, and a 6lb lower you are going to be high 7's. the lightning is a beast out of the hole.

I have played with lightnings a fair bit, and have no problem turning a wrench if anyone needs help.

Before you build to much power look into some traction bars. there are a ton of options, from some cheap lakewood slapper bars to some full length long bars from JLP or JDM. the lightning likes to wheel hop and tear **** up.

a 6lb lower, tune, and exhaust for sound, valve body, traction bars, sticky tires and a good driver will have you running very low 8's all day long. and that whole setup can be installed in a few hours.

Sweet, well, I will let my dad think about it. We still need to remove the spare tire, and if needed we could take off the rear tailgate too. That should give us atleast another 80+ lbs off of it.

valve body, exhaust, 4lb lower, tune, cai, and long bars
you can tell from my 60's a lot was being left on the table

Nice!!!!

You need to bring your wife out and put her on the track to race. Looks like she got the hang of it pretty quickly.
