Lost My Fear of Street Racing Again

Windveil Blues

OLD FART
When I was a kid, I was invincable and afraid of nothing... including cops. I did more than my fair share of street racing with the Camaro and the Cyclone living in Denver, and never feared even so much as a parking ticket back then. Nowadays, the cops have much less of a sense of humor, and I have a wife and kids to think about. Now, having said all that, friday night coming home from work, some gilligan in a Porsche Boxter wouldn't leave well enough alone, and finally irked me enough to forget the past. We left the light at 30 and W in a cloud of smoke, and I thought for a second he might have me. But by time I hit 3rd, I had two lengths on him and was pulling on him hard. By mid-way through 4th, he shut it down, and I slowed to see if he wanted to go from a punch, but he was done... LOL

So, there ya have it... my first legit kill in the '06...:)

Yeah,

It's not like you can 'pull out' just in the nick of time to avoid a ticket... LOL
