What did your car run? You never told me you went to track with the car. Put up your time slip so we can all see in timeslip section

I don't have my time slips... Amy threw them away when she was helping me clean up the car. She had no idea, and I didn't even notice until I wanted to scan them. My best pass was 12.46 @ 111 mph. Usually it ran 12.60's - 12.70's on my neighbor's DR' on steel 17's. I plan on taking it to the track MUCH more next season, though... when I get the tranny/clutch shit figured out.

12.6's are still pretty fast for a street car. i think 11's would be the perfect goal tho, to keep it streetable

Well, everything I have bolted onto the car along with gears has dropped more than a full second off the stock/street tire ET.

Btw... my first launch garnered a rousing roar from the crown when the tire smoke followed me to half track... LOL Also, I managed 2 lights in the .4's. I don't remember my 60 foot times, but I know it was around 2. However, that was a tire-smoking 2!

haha, i know what you mean....my launches were around .5's but with no traction it was running a 2.4 or 2.6 60ft. it was terrible

how the hell do you run a 12 second anything with a 2. somthing 60 foot... that would make you have like a 11.9 car! with just bolt on WOW! thats weird that your car wieghts as much as a fox body, yours must be special! with just bolt on running 12's spinning the tires is wierd as well considering a 500 rwhp cobra runs 11.20's on street tires with no traction? what have you dynoed to the wheels? what have you taken out of the car??

Spare tire, jack, back seats, 103 octane gas, uncapped with shorty torque tubes. Look at that '05 GT on that site... shit, I can't remember their name, but they had a Vortech on it and removed it and STILL went 12.40's all day long on DR's. It was Legend Lime, dammit... it really bugs me that I can't remember. Furthermore, my car ran a 13.90 with street radials when it was stone ass stock and only 500 miles on it. I am really curious to see what the 4.56's will do for my 60 foot time and top end speed. I don't think ET will be all that affected, though. I DO think that cam and head work will get it into the 11's... at least high 11's, but 11's nonetheless.

Andy I got to throw the B.S. Flagg on this post. I can not believe that the car went the fast on pirellis. Look at my car Andy it wheel hopped so bad and would jjust burn the shit out of the tires through second. My quickest time was 13.6. I am from MO to Jim ( state mod the show me state) I have to see the video. You should have raced me when I was there over the summer. I know my car ran better there but not a whole min faster. I may come home again this summer though. I found out for 250$ I can actually ship my car instead of driving the car. Well that is what it cost from Florida to san Diego. I want to check to get to Mo. That would be cheaper than driving for sure. Come home with my cams, head work, and NOS and see hwo fast my car is in Mo. Mine will be done in April

I'll be ready, and we will settle this on the track... all out, all motor, no juice. You have no idea what I have in my car, and for the record, a 2. 60 foot time can be made up by half track. As soon as I can get the video from Tim, I will post it. Keep in mind, Phill... I have been racing since you were in the womb. My first Mustang was a '78. I was also told by the track people that I couldn't come back and race the care until I had a roll bar because it went faster than 12.99. Why the hell do you think I need a new tranny?

if your running 12.40's with shitty traction then you already have a 11 second car, your not going to want to do a AOD or C4 witht those gears...your going to run out of gear in the 1/4... the AOD with be shifting in to over drive unless you run like a 33 inch slick! Traction should be what yurworking on to get the 60 foot down to like a 1.6. 1.5 at best!
After torque boxes and control arms, (HOME MADE) with slick and my 4000 stall i plan on get 1.5 1.6 60ft's on spray with my fox! that on the stock AOD...
cant wait to spray off the line.... hoping for a little tiny wheel stand!

Thats it grudge matches this summer! LOL Would be alot of fun if we all went to track and ran against each other. That is one thing I like about qualcom they let ou race your buddy even if he is two lanes over they will make sureyou get lined up to race each other. Bakersfield you just had to time it so that you both get to run each other.

I think Bakersfield is the best track for traction. I heard there are a couple of tracks in LA area but they suck for traction and test and tune days you are lucky to get one pass. Would be nice if we could rent track
