[May 21, 2011] SD Cruise to Barona Drags Salute to the Military

Let's roll deep to the Barona Drags Salute to the Military! This cruise is the long way, heading east to Campo, with a stop at the "Run to Hills" car show in Pine Valley, then up to Julian and down to Barona Drags. This will be an excellent adventure!

Meetup @ 7:00 a.m.
Rollout @ 7:30 a.m.

Pine Valley Car Show
Depart Eastlake at 7:30 a.m., cruise out past Otay Lake, hit the 94 east to Campo, then up Buckmann Springs Rd. to arrive in Pine Valley around 9:00 a.m. for the Run to the Hills car show.

Barona Drags Salute to the Military
Leave Pine Valley around 10:00 a.m., cruise up Hwy 79, through Julian, then down to Ramona over to Barona Drags. We'll hit the track just in time for lunch, and to watch some of the fastest cars in Southern Califonia compete for $10k in prize money at this special event.
 
Are we just stopping by to check out the Run to the Hills show or actually being part of it? I don't have money for car show registration. I'm down for the cruise and Barona.
 
Na, we're not "in it", just going to check it out. Hey, now that you mention it, that's true for both events. Which is, I guess, why I wanted to go the long way, and turn this into a cruise!

You haven't been on a cruise with us before!? Glad to see you will be joining us.
 
Please RSVP if you are planning to join us on the cruise. I'd like to get a count of cars so I can coordinate parking at the the Pine Valley car show, and at Barona.
 
This sounds Fun. I already told my wife that there was an event Saturday evening at Foster freeze, but this sounds more fun so I am in.

There going to give you parking spots at Barona? Last year was really packed and there was no assigned parking not even for active duty or retired so that's cool if they do.
 
This sounds like a blast. I haven't been on a cruise in a long time. See u all sat morning. David please don't sleep in on this one :) do u need me to call u in the morning lol.
