lets make a poll thread... mon-sunday and see what day wins the poll on more people showing up... me personally think the monthly meeting should be on the second or fourth friday of the month sense alot of people seem to make the cruise nights on fridays..

yea... Fridays are better for me too, but its up the the president guy...

No, not up to me... You all run the club. I just try to keep everyone on the same street so to speak... Fridays are fine with me, make a poll and we can vote. This club belongs to everyone. Only reason I pushed to have monthly meetings in the middle of the week is cause most if not all events fall on weekends. But if majority of members want it to be on Fri then Friday it is. I would definitly say though, that we should not have the meetings on Sat or Sun.

i agree with the bolded. why have the meetings when events are going on? everyone is saying make it friday, we all are able to do things on fridays... well guess what, if the meeting is on friday, that means we cannot cruise on friday / go to hooters on friday / do anything else that falls on a friday (test and tunes). or we'll have half the club wanting to do one thing, while the other half does another.

i agreed with joe on having the meetings the middle of the week because i too wanted friday and the weekends free to do events. meetings are for head counts and planning events... the boring stuff. last month we had an awesome turnout. and some months we wont. one month, it was me, shane, and zim just chilling outside of chilli's waiting for joe. and i agree with the fact that anything gone over during the meeting can be passed on to people that missed it when we do no dues.

yes, more people will be able to attend the mettings if it's pushed to a friday... but you gotta look at the other side of that double sided sword and know that we'll also be taking one friday away to do an event. like joe, i want to be religious about going to monthly meetings and putting it on fridays, i can see some meetings pushed off / canceled because of an event that may be planned on that friday when a meeting is going to happen.

you're only talking about the no dues. there are other events that will happen that may fall on the other fridays. having a meeting then will conflict with that. and having the meeting at an event? while it may be fine for us, any new members may feel left out as we'd be paying attention to the event and not them. also, going to hooters for a meeting, then going go-karting, etc. etc. we'd have meetings at different places. and new people may not want to drive to fresno for a monthly meet. it's nice to say we have a monthly meeting at the same place / time every month.

but it's the club's choice. i'm just showing the other bladed side of the dagger.

i understand were your coming from but i just feel wednesday is just as bad as a friday...but friday more people will attend and when we do get a new member it is more impressive to see more members.. and on the hooters and go kart events... those are things we setup not a car show that we have no control over... so those will be scheduled around the meeting... not causing a conflit.. and very rarly are the events (car shows, and Autocrossing, Test and tunes) on friday... its mostly saturday sunday
