...working a lil' bit in the food industry, there's some items that are not on the menu, but are created if ordered. when i worked at the coffee shop, we had a belgian chocolate mocha that wasn't on our every day menu, but we made for customers if they knew about it and ordered it.
starbucks has the short cappuccinos if you ask for it, but i doubt you'll see it on their menu.
well, talking to a friend from houston the other night, he told me about a secret menu item at mcdonald's. the "mcgangbang". i told him that he's full of sh*t and that there was no way mcdonald's would have a food item called that on their menu. what the food item is, is a double cheeseburger with a mcchicken in between the two meat patties. he sent me these pictures as evidence:
now when you order it, they don't put "mcgangbang" on the receipt, they show it as you ordering a double cheeseburger and a mcchicken.
with that info, i decided to try it myself today... and HOLY SH*T!
now, i blacked out the store number, phone number, and address cause i don't want that store getting pranked. but you can see by my receipt that the store is in hanford, california (where i am from) and what the order rang up as. EXACTLY what my friend told me. now, i was lucky that i had a seasoned employee take my order and not a new hire. cause new hires may not have become familiar with the secret items. also, for those who still have doubts, here's the urban dictionary link:
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=McGangbang
seeing as fangs is from the florida area, he can prob. vouch for this too. but i SH*T you not, whoever is on the mcdonald's marketing team has got one HELLUVA funny bone.
seeing as this worked at my mcdonald's, some in houston, and probably countless mcdonald's in the florida area... how about some people testing this for me in socal to see if their mcdonald's employees are up to snuff on their secret menus.
p.s.
this sandwich is actually pretty dang tasty.
