tonight i met a young guy and his wife that whant to buy my truck. if that happens, thats an extra 230-250 a month and to day i started to get paid for 2nd so i'm thinking a budget of 300-350 a month on the car and still have a little to put in savings. after the JLT, SCT, STEEDA pullies, not sure what i'll save for. do yall think the irs is worth the extra weight for a all around street car or would a straite axle w/ a panhard bar or watts link be better?

but, how hard are you really gonna push it on the street? i'm thinking if a watts link will handle almost as well as irs but plant it better in a strait line and cut weight. then it might be a better choice. if i went to a road corse more than the strip then irs would be the best choice. i like road corse's and would like go to one one day, but most track events that i will get to socalise with you guys is 1/4 mile.

i see your point, i am not really a 1/4 mile guy, because of fear that my irs will blow, i do plan on doing road courses though. so from the sound of it i believe i see which way your leaning.

and the watts link is for cornering. do you know about what the weight diff is between the irs and live axle?

ii would stick with IRS....just dont launch hard. that little weight wont make too big of a difference....make it up with more power.

i whant my car n/a to run close to a stock termy. and i whant to do this with 3.55's and a t-56. the way i'll make up what i lack in hp i'll make up in less weight and more traction.

i like the go faster w/ more hp idea. thats why i'm not gearing down any lower than 3.55's my other idea was to change the internals of the rear diff to 03 cobra 31 spline and go w/ level 5 half shafts. and an eletric locker diff.
but there's the extra weight of the irs that will slow it down.
