Roush2 I know its OBD-I compliant, but the port is a PRE-OBD II com port.

You don't need a scanner.

You hook a jumper between your positive battery post and one of the terminals in the diagnostics port. Your check engine light will flash out the code for what's wrong. You can make a jumper with an insulated alligator clip from Radio Shack and some wire- just be careful not to short it on the body or anything else..

Ok just got off the phone with Alan Mulally and he told me.
It is EEC-V and OBD II. It appears as though some of the late year 95's were equipped with 96 parts and features...
At least that is the only explanation he could tell me... So I will give you partially credit for you efforts.. By the way...why are you trying to figure that out?:)

And Remember again the Rules:

1. I am never wrong
2. If I am every wrong refer back to rule number 1.

I have a 95 V6 Mustang that is OBDII

it is not OBDI

it is OBDII

and part of being a moderator is making sure correct and truthful information is given

and if we have a 94-95 V6 Mustang guy looking on here and he sees that his car is not OBDII even though it is then that could prevent him from buying programers because they only say 96+ even though there car is supported by it

Roushed2 all the information you showed me had a particular part number for your year mustang and for all other 96+ mustangs handhelds had another part number. Make sure to post the right info.
