before noon its the same. after noon you add 12 to make it military

so 02:30 would be 230am

1430 would be 230pm

NOT OH......OH is not a number, ZERO is a number.....we would say zero five, or zero five hundred. midnight we call quad nutz and we also call it twentyfourhundred....even though thats not correct

and the way I convert it to civilian time is -2 to military time..

Example
1600 use the second digit 6 - 2 = 4 oclock
1700 use the second digit 7 - 2 = 5 oclock..

Ok there is probably easier way but, it helped me out..

Apology!

what do you mean must be navy.....navy is the ones that say "oh"....."oh" is not a number now is it.....

negative... we do not say "oh"

Age old problem, I apologize to rhe Navy and to The Few and the Proud, I guess it was us that said "OH", but I've been out of Uncle Sam's Army for 31 yrs, a little conflict was going on when I graduated High school, my Brother was already there and I wanted to help... 11 bravo in Mechanized Infantry, only 4 guys came back from the A Co. 1/11 inf. and one of them shot himself after shooting his family after a car backfired in the street.. So again I Apoligize and yes I remember saying Oh Beer Thirty until about 20 years ago..
