motor install

we still have the 4.6 going in but, a nice back up would be nice
Just think all of the wiring is already there.
Just show up and watch and meet everyone. You will have fun. We are not just an internet club. We get together alot and do events all the time.
Bring a camcorder too, tape the races if you can, a lot of people would appreciate it if you did.

Bobby, just so I can clarify, I was actually behind him on the 351 build, and told him not to let anyone else's opinion distract his goals of what he wants to do with the car. I told him the 351 would be bad ass! N/A power FTW!! He had an old motor available I guess, which he wanted new heads, intake and cam to see his goal of over 400rwhp N/A. I even told him about your 396, and Pierre's 408. We even tried to work out a deal for the 408 with TKO600 that Pierre has. Ultimately the swap was gonna be too expensive for his budget with a new K-member and computer and harness, so I gave him another option, build the Cobra motor he has and strap a blower on it. No need for swapping K-member or the like to make the swap. He will also make more than 400rwhp, but it won't be N/A.
Also, I'm not building the motor, I'm getting the parts and Pierre will assemble the motor and degree the cams. I had ears pull the motor on base so he could save some money. He will bring us the motor, we'll (Pierre will) disassemble the motor, Greg at TP will clean the heads and check everything, then we'll reinstall the heads on the built shortblock, and give ears the motor back and he'll reinstall it in his car.
Just thought I'd make clear what we're doing, and that I didn't talk him out of doing the 351, just gave him different options for his build. Either way, it's his car, and I would help him do whatever he decided.

Emerson, I didn't mean to come off like I was saying that you are a con-artist. As a matter of fact I think I stated that you guys are good people. I saw most of the post on socal where everyone told him not to do something that he seemed very excited about and I automatically assumed that you were one of them since he said you "made him see the light" LOL!.
Anyway my apologies for assuming and you must understand that I hate mod motors and it was quite upsetting to hear that his mind had been changed.
Thanks for clarifying, but he could have done the same and saved all of the drama. If you read this whole post I even apologized for sounding like a Di*k and invited him to mustangs vs the world. The whole time we were talking I had no idea that he was already whining about me on Socal.

It's cool Bobby. I saw it was taken out of context, and most people don't realize that we all actually know each other, and have for a number of years for some.
I know you are a pushrod guy at heart and hated seeing a missed opportunity for us all to be graced by having another one among us...lol
I was too, ask him. I told him that 408 would be nasty in his car and he would love it. I was probably only among the few that would have liked to see the small block in it.
Anyway, back to your regular scheduled program.

And dropping the engine out of the bottom is by far rthe easiest way to install everything. You can mount the tranny to the engine, have your headers installed, and basically just raise it all into your car or lower your car onto it. I have done it a few time but i am busy for the resat of time before my deployment. Sorry family takes presidence!!!!!

Thanks for the apology. Just dont inflate what someone has said on one site to another group. By doing that it made us look like we were saying that Emerson did not know what he was doing or whatever. Nobody said that. Orange, Yose, Wickedstangs, and myself all know Emerson and would not talk trash about him. In fact he comes out to some events with us on here and also has a screename on here as well. I consider him a friend as well as others too. Anyway, thanks for the apology and welcome back to WickedStangs. Hopefully the engine build will be done soon!
