Two guys I work with just got BRAND NEW bikes....NEVER rode before!!! These young guys get stationed out here, and see all the bikes around, get a wild hair, then go buy a brand new bike without having ANY riding experience... IMO out here is the WORST place to start learning how to ride, too many people NOT paying attention on the highways.

i completely agree. why do you think i dont have one. if i do ever get one it will be a slow 600 cruiser to start with. nothing too fast, but gets good mileage

Riders just need to pay more attention themselves. I'm always aked if I am scared when I ride on the highways, honestly it's a yes and no answer. When I'm on my bike I pay more attention to EVERYTHING! I don't have my radio to distract me, no cell phone ringing, no one in the passenger seat talking, I pay full attention to what EVERYONE else is doing....

I totally agree with you... And what is sad about that is, you can go right to the DMV take a written test for $25, get your permit and go ride.... something doesn't add up if you ask me...

Yes that is true...BUT... I know the two guys in my shop that just got they're bikes, can still go ride to and from base as long as the course is "scheduled".... doesn't make much sense if you don't know how to ride.
