Definately need to find out what is up with Eathan's car!

Albert also had problems with 2nd and 3rd after his tranny heated up. It wouldn't go into either gear when he hot lapped it, was fine when it cooled off.

Ethan's is a no brainer. It's just a tube to the EGR (rubber) that ruptured (poosible due to heat). He should have a metal tube fabricated. Hot exhaust gasses shouldn't be plumbed through rubber hoses! Doh. Pretty minor unless he had some other issue I didn't hear about.

I really didnt need all that info, but that is some funny stuff......

I think Etan has an oil leak on the drivers side of his engine. It should be an easy fix from what a few people said.

I gotta say, I lost $20 on a bet that Philo wouldn't come back when he went to get his NOS refilled, but it was funny anyway!

Had a great time with great friends.

I will need to make some addition for next time. Planning to get the 4.10 gears, pullies, and tune. Maybe even a T-body and a bigger MAF. Hopefully after taxes. Eventually save up for a blower. But damn, it was a damn fun day! Thanks to all the organizers, the staging helpers, and all the racers.

Awesome day today! With the exception of Armdrop where I got to race just 2 times, today was my first time racing in over 5 years!! It was the most fun that I have had in a long, long time. I know that I probably sound like a broken record when I say this, but Wickedstangs used to have turnouts like this on a regular basis at the track although I have to admit I think this was the best turnout ever.

Point is I am happy with the direction the club is heading. HUGE thanks to PAPATOM who brought his badass 26' trailor to the event to bring me home!! This is a person who has never met me and knew nothing about me except that I am the WS trouble maker. Yet he came out to the event lended his helping hand and awesome equipment and asked for nothing in return. This club has comradery (Spelling?) only second to the military.

PAPATOM Thanks again and I owe you a couple rounds for sure! Thanks to everyone for an awesome day at the track!!

No problem. glad I could help out. I'm a firm believer in good or bad coming around full circle. As long as I am able to, I'm always willing to lend a helping hand. The tight knit "band of brothers" (and sisters lol!) that I've seen in the last 3 months I've been around has been impressive.

Glad I can be part of all this! ...even if I didn't race :)

Thanks for the great time, even though there were'nt many GM or Mopar guys out there, it was still a great time, and good practice too, I had no I dea that with the mods I had that I should be launching at at least 3500rpm. It just sounds crazy to me, but I will be there this saturday at miramar and I am going to go get my engine checked out, maybe do a compression test too to make sure i don't have a bad ring or anything. Next time Red, you and me.

I had alot of fun out there its nice to see everyone running and not standing around. Its alot of fun to get out there and run. I had a few guys come up and say wow you where right this is alot of fun. I was a little disapointed that I didnt get into the trophys for the 9.0 class but.. its all good. It was my fault in the confusion of the grudge match I loaded the wrong tune. I also didnt know till after that while I was gone getting NOS they reprepped the track. I ended up running a 8.2 on my street tires for the day was out. So I guess I should be happy. Next time we all go out I will have some M/T on rear and skinnys up front. That way I can see what the car has in it with a good launch. I am guessing around 7.8 we will see though...
I would have to say though I think My best race was against 02GT. That last race I ran a 8.2 to his 8.3. Even though the times where sep. the cars where coming through the traps neck and neck I think I had a bumper on him.

i red lit by -.127. I knew if i was going to try and win i had to tree you but i got a little jumpy and red lit but there will be plenty of other times. it was a hell of a run though. I finally started getting car to launch like it should now i all i need is to lightn' up the ride. We should do it again when barona opens up. Great run though.

VP, I have met you face to face and I, like most people here, prefer to meet you online, instead of in person.

You sasquatch looking ape-sized hunk of smelly man flesh!

Just sent this email to Rick (track coordinator) @ Barona..............................He sent me an email asking me how everything went seeing as how I didn't get a chance to meet him yesterday. Here was my reply.....................

I looked for you in the booth, but you weren't there. I did see your car run though, it's badass!! I was driving the orange and black mustang coupe. Anyway all of us had a blast!! Our forum is going crazy talking about the event. We only had 2 small complaints..........(1.) is that we intended to race other brands, but none really showed up. I think the weather had alot of people up in arms and decided not to go. (2.) We were under the impression that it was a test & Tune only day. Since the Summit series had priority alot were upset at the limited amount of runs they got in and the down time in between.

Most of us got in at least 5 runs and everyone is super happy otherwise. Alot of first time racers from the club came out and got hooked real quick!!! They all can't wait until the next one. They are all wanting to do this about every 6 months. We brought out 26 cars for racing and many more spectators. We have the potential to bring some good business your way. Maybe we can get a hook up on track rental??

We would like to set up another day as soon as we can and give the guys a few months notice so they can get thier cars ready. Let me know if you have an open date in May or June for us to be a real "FEATURE" event and we won't dissappoint!! Rick once again huge thanks from all of us at wickedstangs and hope to be seeing alot more of Barona in the future. Thanks again and let me know,
