My honest opinion about dmp!!!!

Alright guys here is my honest opinion about DMP. I have had nothing but GOOD thing's come from there.

First off when my engine blew I had Dante install it. CHP sent me a 2valve instead of a 3valve. Dante rebuilt the motor to a 3valve. He installed the engine and gave it a STEP tune (most places just stomp the gas and make guesses). Before he tuned my car he told me he was going to give me a conservitave tune since it was a new engine and he did NOT want me to blow this engine. I was fine with that. He step tuned my car and it put 484RWHP and 511RWTQ (CONSERVITAVE TUNE). A new tune is in the making.

Second: I just got back from Mississippi and our sail around (6 months). I went to pick up my car from a friends house. I had to jump start it. I drove from Lemon Grove to 32nd st base. I shut the car off to put in gas. It did not start after that. I tried jumping it and push starting it and had no luck. I called Dante and he said i needed a new battery. I had no ride so i ask Dante if he could bring me one. Yes he said without hesitation. How many shop owners will close their shop to bring you a battery. I think that says alot.

Third: When I was driving my car it would hesitate when I would stomp on the gas. I call Dante he said bring me your tuner and ill fix it. I dropped my tuner off and picked it up a few hours later. I re-installed the tune, went around the block and stomped on it..... SHE TOOK OFF WITH NO HESITATION!!!! He fixed it with ease.

SO ENOUGH SAID MY CAR WILL ALWAYS BE WORKED ON AND TUNED BY DANTE!!!!!!!!!!!!

ive seen the workings of DMP my self with Ears car. if ears had brought his car to me idda charged him a frustration tax for sure lol. But Dante through it all worked with us to get the bugs worked out. before he wanted to put it on the dyno to make sure nothing small turned into a big deal.

My car will be going to Dante as soon as its ready.

That's awesome that he did that for you and he should be commended for that. Glad your car is running good. Now why don't you guys get him to come out to Barona and tune your cars at the track where it will mean something. I'm sure if you guys hit him up he would do it.

That is not true...... Just because he is a sponsor does not mean you can't give your honest opinion about him. That is what these forums are for. We have had a bunch of members that have had there cars ACTUALLY TUNED by Dante and no complaints.

We all know he is a very conservative tuner. (Nothing wrong with that)

I have a few threads here about how freaking AWESOME Dante is!

Car is going back tomorrow with 63lb/hr injectors and Hopefully it all turns out well. Gave me a killer deal on injectors, upgrading my SCT Advantage Software from SCT, and all around not charging me an arm and a leg to try and work on my car. Plus, if I have questions about tuning (since im learning myself) he shows me, and tells me if i have any questions, just ask.

And hows this for saying nothing but "GOOD" things about our sponsors... JBA can go and jump of a cliff...and take that god damn Shelby Mustang of his with him...hell drive that bitch off...with all there "Techs"

It's BS defensive comments like these that are the reason everyone doesn't post opinions. 90% of the time if someone goes against the grain around here the thread will get locked.

The only other thing I have to say is that I've been driving mustangs since 1993 and never once did I have a bad MAF. I've used dozens of them and had them calibrated numerous times for my combo, but never a bad one. Not saying it doesn't happen, but come on...

I'm done with this one.

Everyone has different experiences with each shop they use. I prefer to use JBA for all my engine work. They have not been perfect, but they corrected any problems and never charged me additional money or caused damage to my car. Yes, they are expensive, but you get what you pay for. As for DMP, I have seen him assist many people with their cars to include the race car. If you like what he is doing, go to him and have your car worked on or tuned. If you prefer other tuners like RET, JBA or Spankintime, then have at it.

Truth be told, everyone will always have a personal opinion so go with those you trust!!!

I agree 100%, but I still let every one know that JBA tried selling me on tearing apart my motor cause I had a cracked head, and was putting water into my cylinder...Now...I guess its cause I just purchased GT500 long tubes and suspention for my car from them...must have thought i needed to spend some more money. JBA Techs...more like JBA **** tards. Try to save every one from what I seen from there shop.

After you guys mod them then they break, I hear all the complaints about this part sucks, this shop sucks...blah blah blah..... LOL Just leave it stock and you wont have anything bad to say about a shop as it wont break as easily/quickly and it wont need new MODS done.....LOL

Why? Simply put, some shops should not be in business. Period. Some parts, are garbage, you don't want to see anyone else throwing money in the toilet..so you say something.

I've dealt with a couple of bad shops that I can honestly say I won't ever go to again or recommend. Will I throw their name out there and accuse them of every wrong doing my car has ever had? No. But if someone asks me about the shop, then yea, I'll say something to a negative effect..

And TBH I keep my mouth quiet about one of the places, simply because, I'm not going to be the one who has all the "you started this" crap from its groupies..if thats what you wanna call them.. you ask me I'll tell ya and you can be the judge..

As far as Dante's goes.. well, I know a few local guys that have met him or know him fairly well, and have nothing but great things to say about the shop.. I've never been there, but I'm really thinking about giving him some of my business here pretty shortly, if he's willing to work on a v6, and if the **** talking can stay to a minimum..lol.

Bobby I know you. And you have always replaced your mass air meter for a bigger one / better one calibrated to your injectors. These guys going to Dante are running stock mass air meters with a diablosport MAFia and pegging them out or the mafia not working correctly.. Not necessarily the MAF being broke just pegging them out. And these are'nt BS defensive comments its just the truth. Remember it is so easy to start bad reputation with our comments we just need to be careful that our comments have all the details and the whole truth. If you know something I don't please fill me in.
