A U.S. Naval Academy midshipman who was arrested at the San Ysidro Port of Entry in June pleaded guilty today to several charges, including conspiracy to import and distribute marijuana, and conspiracy to commit burglary and armed robbery, and weapons charges, according to the Navy.

Juan D. Alonso, 24, of North Hollywood, was sentenced to 118 months in jail, dismissal from the Navy and forfeiture of all pay and allowances, the Navy said.

He was arrested June 10 by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials, who stopped him on suspicion of bringing 153 pounds of marijuana into the United States in a rental car. Alonso, a junior at the academy, was in San Diego for summer training.

Good! One less dumb ass JO I have to deal with thinking his whopping 3 months of sea duty counts as extensive experience.

What a waste of an opportunity and a good education? Worst yet, probably took the spot away from someone that really wanted it and deserve it. :nonono:
