Well dang it that did not work out the way I had hoped. They won't order the door panel. Because it is just the way they are made......@#$%&!!

Then after I leave I goto the store. As I come out a couple minutes later I notice a few really nasty grooved scrapes in my rear drivers bumper. So, I went back to Perry Ford. They are going to check their video to see when the damage was caused. I saw where it happened at. There was a yellow pole behind where they parked my car at. The guy that pulled my car out to that spot did like a 3337 point turn to get my car around the pole and into the spot. It could have happened there. I think I may have done it myself though. I will feel like an a$$ if I did. I bitched them out for phocking up my car. When I left I backed up and was close to the cement pole but I did not feel the car bump anything and I thought I had enough room. If it did hit the driver rear bumper on it, it would have been not while I backed up but when I turned right to go toward the exit. The back end would have swung toward the pole because I had to cut the wheels all the way to the right to get out of where they had parked me at. This sux. I hope their guy did it and not me.... But I have a feeling it will show me bumping the pole, even though I did not feel it.

Emilio help I need to know that contact of yours for paint. If it was my fault.

I will post a picture tommorrow as it is dark now.

So if it was their fault, should I let them REPAIR the grooves in the bumper or argue for them to replace with an OEM new one due to the fact that the panel was not repaired when I came in it was in perfect condition?

I want to push to get it replaced. Not repaired.

If they will replace then I am gonna offer the difference between the GT one and the California Special one and have that installed.

Thanks.

Well I went to the dealership. It is a kinda win/lose situation. Well the area that the car made contact with the pole can not be seen on tape. Both me and the other guy are close to the pole. From the camera you can not see either hit the pole though.....Basically I can not prove they did it and they can not prove I did it. They have offered to repair the one that is on the car. That is the best I can get from them. Or...if I purchase the California Special bumper they will prep, paint and install it for me. The price they are willing to give me is 319.95 for it. My question is since I am going to do this upgrade at a later point in time anyway......Later it will cost about 320 for the bumper and 200 for paint. So for 320 I would get the upgrade instead of 500-600..... Does this seem like a reasonable offer: I buy it and they take care of the fit finish and such..... It sucks that I could not tell who hit the pole. If I could prove they did I would have pushed for a replacement. The service manager said that his guys in the past have always told him right away when this type of thing happens. He was not told anything yesterday. Anyway thanks for looking.

Gibs are they going to paint the bumper too for 319? If they are, I would say go for it..

I am..... Then I am going to sell the original on Flebay for whatever I can get. Someone can fix it. It is not that bad just a few gouges in the corner.

It has a couple bad spots on the driver corner but it would be alot cheaper for him then buying a new one.

I did not even think of that one.

Gib, a few suggestions...If you decide to get the new bumper. Make sure you get the quote in writing...just to cover your !@#. As far as the vibration from lowering...yeah, I guess that's possible but more likely the dealership doesn't want tho absorb the cost of repairing/replacing what ever else may be causing it. A chance you'll have to take in buying the extra stuff (caster/camber plates etc). Don't get me wrong though, I would definately buy the plates, bump steer kit, modified ball joint and anything else needed to bring your steering geometry back to where it needs to be. Hope this helps.

I do not have any issues with the vibration they were talking about. I still have not felt it. My issue was with the brake pedal. Under highway speed braking it had a vibration in it. I thought I may have warped it the other day coming down from Julian. They measured them on their machine and said they were not warped. So they put it back together. Now there is no vibration in the pedal. Whatever they did, worked.

As far as the repairs, they will give me an in writing amount. FREE. I have to buy the bumper and the price is 319.95 then everything else is free.

BTW: how you like this PacNorWest weather...Momsen must be on the way here.

Good to hear that the vibration is gone...I just wanted to say that IF the vibration was there go ahead and spend the money to correct the steering geometry with the parts I mentioned...and now that you mention it, MOMSEN was here earlier this week and is out in the oparea. You know how it is...anytime she's around the damn weather follows her!

good to hear the vibration is gone i bet it was something loose and htey tightened it when putting everythign back together. even though it is fixe di would still definitely still eb interested in buying those suspension parts. trust me you will like them the way they look and feel definitely worth the $$$$ suspension is one of hte most over looked things these days. people just put on performance mods and power adder but hwat good is it when you cant control it nor put it to the ground.

Yeah I plan to do those in the future. C/C plates and bumpsteer kit. I am just lazy and do not want to spend the cash on those.
