gotta get a new alternator anyways seeing as how the one in the car now is gettin ready to go but i have a question seeing as how upgrading to a higher amp output will keep the system from draining the car is there such thing as to big.

my car currently uses a 70 amp output alternator and its price is 165.99

or just upgrade to the 105 amp output for only 155.99

any danger in that?

thats what the regulator is for. If you're running additional items that need to draw off the alternator, such as amps or extra exterior lights, this may benefit you.

If there's nothing extra you're powering up, why upgrade? If you are, good idea. Regulator should keep everything "balanced"

I had to upgrade the alt on the '79 F250 and it benefits me tremendously. Running amp, cargo lights. dual batteries, trailer brake controller with charging system. That's were the need comes in.
