Man I am in no way trying to say you didnt run what your slip says but isnt the mph low for a 7.2 in a blown car. I ran 7.5 at 98 so your 7.2 at 95 just seems backwards. I applaud you for taking your beast out there and running and hope for your sake that you did get a 7.2. Those are awesome times. Hell I cant get better than a 1.6 on an IRS car with MT ET streets and no wheel hop so you must have done something right. Like I said I am not doubting you or your car I just wanted to give my opinion. BTW how close was the race between you two on that race. Was he side by side with you or a car length ahead?
I know you aren't questioning my honesty. I am calling BS on my own. I have been doing a lot of research on stock GT500 times and there is just no way it can be accurate. If I had gears, MT's, and possibly a little more boost, but bone stock on street tires, no way. I have looked out at drag times and if I did the math right, this would have been a nearly 11.0 run in the 1/4. Maybe even a 10.99
No one wants to believe it more then me, but there is no way. I do want opinions and I thought it might be possible, but now that I have looked at it closer, the time must have been off. My Seat O Pants meter tells me it was maybe a high 7's or low 8's run.
I wasn't paying to much attention to the car next to me because of the whole stuck throttle situation going on in my car, although I do remember it was a wild sounding 68 camaro with slicks. We were neck and neck down the track. I thought he edged me out in the end.
