Hey, Maybe this isnt my place to say anything to you all. But I feel compelled to do so anyway... I dont think either of you should leave the forum or the club over this misunderstanding. I personally would not put fake emblems on my car either but there are alot of things that people do to their cars that I would not do to my own. I do however plan to put a GT500 front bumper on my Stang and I already have a back one. I am not trying to clone the Shelby or make a fake snake. I just like the lines better on the GT500 bumpers. I hope to be able to blow the doors off GT500's not pretend I am one. Anyway, one of the major reasons that I came tothis i the first place is because everyone in it seemed like they were friends... or even family. And thats how it should be. All the other club websites I went to, everyone on them was bashing on everyone else. This one was not like that. This club and this website has come a very long way since I first visited it. And I for one dont want to see it go down hill. Im sure you both can get passed this disagreement cant you?

I can give you a perfect example........

To the untrained eye.....her car looks like a Saleen. When some ricer decides he wants to race her and she gets beat then all of them say...."Hey guys I just stomped a Saleen mustang and it was supercharged" ....Now anyone that has or has built up their Saleen and knows this one is not will have to explain or get revenge on the guy that thinks he can stomp a real one. Does that make any sense???? A car should stay marked as to what they are. You can add everything you want to your own car because ....guess what....it is your car. If you fancy the Cobra embloms then put them on... it is your choice. But you have to know that there will always be someone out there that does not like it.

im with yosemidy here, except its like this, i got all kinds of shit on my car, but its obviously not a cobra and most people can tell. i love going to the track and ripping someones ass and when the ask if what year cobra my badgeless gt is i smile and tell them its an 8 year old gt. that is cool. i dont have any badges cause i dont like gt badges, even the aftermarket. im a firm believer a car needs built with class, and there is a real fine line. but thats just me and i have a very discriminating eye.

Here is how Roushed looks at it as we had discussions about it all the time.

Body kits are one thing everyone knows there is no cobra with gt badges theres no saleen with v6 badges.

You can do a body kit all you want who cares what the body kit is as long as the badging represents what it really is. False badging is like taking a beat up shanty and putting a venere in the front to make it look glamorous.

If you own a shanty fine and dandy just dont make it appear to be something great when its not.

and noone ever said your car wasnt nice if i look into the post i see compliments on the car from roushed and him stating the only thing that he does not like is the badging

Can we kill this Thread its stupid... Who really cares if you have diffrent parts? A Mustang is a Mustang is a Mustang! Anyone of us can crawl around someone elses car and find a diffrent part from another car or BRAND. I am sure not everyone on here has went to one company for performance parts right? Do you all stick with one type of exhaust. Did you change your Saleen, Roush or Cobra mufflers to JBA, Mac or another company? Its not a true factory Roush anymore.. Get the point. After next year and I refi my car my fakesnake will be around 650 - 700 on the s/c and spray if it holds together. If not hmm maybe a good 383 or chevy 427 JUST KIDDING I will be buying a new block to put together though. I dont care if I blow up the car its all fun right? Give me something else to build.

this thread has started to argue about things that were never a factor

1) Only thing said was EMBLEMS SHOULD REPRESENT CAR

2) Noone ever mentioned about other parts i.e. spoilers, body kits, hoods, exhaust etc.

3) So if there is talk about something it should have to be about what the comments were made about.
