New pet.....

Well my wifes cousin bought my daughter a present for her birthday that is coming up. I now have a Red Ear Slider Turtle as a pet in my house. Her name is Suzie.

Well she has been with us about a week. She has eaten about 10 feeders and mainly pellets. Also we feed her Kale too. The problem is the Kale makes a mess in the tank. So She can eat that in a feeding tank only now.

I used to catch them in a creek by my house and sell em to the local pet store when I was a kid...

No I am not gonna get her a playmate. From what I have read on the turtle forums, they will attack and eat anything you put in the tank. If you put big fish in, they will take bites until they kill it. They will disembow them with their beaks and stuff. So she gets her own tank.

Turtle has some good medicinal value. Don't ask me how, just what I've heard.

So how big will this thing get, will it outgrow the tank and have to be moved outside or something?
