<div>Torrance, California based Probe Industries had several new piston applications for GM, Dodge and Ford on display at PRI for both street and race applications. They are offered in a variety of compression ratios and ring packages.<br />

<u><b>Sportsman Race Series Pistons</b></u><br />

For Chevy racers, Probe displayed their new Sportsman Race Series (SRS) piston for the small block Chevy engine. The piston on display, a -4.0cc Chevy 408 c.i. flat top piston, is made from 2618-t61 forged aluminum and features a lightweight, full floating wrist pin. The folks from Probe said the Chevy SRS piston line comes in several compression ratios and features application specific valve reliefs. SRS pistons are also designed to withstand the increased pressure in boosted applications.<br />

For Mopar performance engine builders, Probe had a new 440 based SRS forged piston that fits a wide variety of street and strip applications. The big block Mopar piston featured a reverse dome top and is available in .030, .040 and .060 piston oversizes.<br />

Probe had several pistons for the popular 302 Ford. Probe displayed their new Factory Performance Series (FPS) 302 Small Block Ford Piston. The FPS forged pistons are designed for heavy-duty towing, high performance street and mild race engine builds. The FPS pistons are stronger than hypereutectic cast pistons and are made of 4032 aluminum. The FPS 302 Ford piston features reduced piston weight, reinforced piston skirts and a floating wrist pin. <br />
