Nitto 555s in the Rain

Windveil Blues

OLD FART
Hey gang,

Sorry I haven't been posting lately, but I have been working a ton of extra hours and getting the car ready for Mustangs Across America. We are leaving at O-Dark Thirty Monday morning and expect to run into some rain. Have any of you guys done any driving on the open highway with Nitto NT555ZRs?

Thanks...

Jim

Jim, have fun with Mustang Across America. Have a safe trip. Post pics when you can.
And VP has had some bad experiences with the Nittos in the rain.

well i turned totally sideways on the 5 just tapping the gas with my 555rs. but they are 315/35s too, kind of like skis in the rain. just stay out of the throttle.

Well, if the weather they are talking about materializes, I won't even chance the trip... I can live with rain, but F5s and watermelon sized hail will cancel the trip... LOL. If the weather gets by MO before we leave, Mustangs Across America will happen for us...:)

Yeah... I can get mine pretty sideways on dry pavement with 285s, so hopefully the weather will get by us before we leave.

I have 555's and they work fine in the rain for me... I think if you just use a little caution and dont drive to spirited you will be more than fine. Hope the weather passes so you get to go!!!

Thanks very much, Joe... That's exactly what I was hoping somebody would say... Now I can sleep a bit better tonight before we roll out of here at O-Dark Thirty...:)
