no, on the drivers side of the engine, above the header there is the oil pressure sensor....i belive you get an adapter to attach to it and run a plastic line where you need it to go. thats what ive read anyway

BJ, is it the same on a 351 as a 302? You are right it is on the front drivers side for a 302.....I was thinking of a 350 sorry. He is removing it, not adding it. But he will need the fitting to cap it.

Thanks for the correction....

Ok I dont even know what is going on but I am laughing my butt off!!!!!! Ethan why in the hell are you going to remove an aftermarket oil pressure gauge? That is one of the most important gauges for the 5.slows since we all know they use more oil than you do lotion!!!!
OMG That was a Darn Good one there!!!!!!!!

This thread is going to hell in a hand basket...4.6 pics?? 351 vs. 302? Remove the mechanical gauge because if it fails it will make a mess in your car. But, do not remove the gauge until you get the electronic one to replace the mechanical one. You blow more oil out of your dipstick then I burn in a year!!!!

Whether it is a 302 or a 351 it should be in the same spot. As far as the pic, yeah it is a 4.6....LOL I thought it was pretty for a 351....LOL

The 351 and the 302 are in the same place. What difference does that make? He doesn't have a 351w. If you don't even know where it goes, how do you know it's mechanical? Can't you just follow the line from the back of the gauge to see where it goes?

I thought that car had a 351 in it? Guess not. But it is in the same spot so no big deal.

Inquiring minds want to know why it is to be removed.....
