there are a few others too on here but mainly 80 and up......

I think there is a 66 here somewhere... 2 67's, and a couple more classics.

Here's the '66 Fastback GT. Last time it was in a show was Fallbrook car show in summer of '07. I don't drive it much. Too afraid of something happening to it. I've had it for a loooong time.

Had a 65 coupe, back in 95. Just finished restoring the body w/ a windveil blue paint job, american racing torque thrust d's, hooker headers, cherry bombs etc... It was beautiful!
A ricer ran a red light while I was turning left.... I swerved to avoid and hit a fire hydrant... He kept going....

It was one of those ricers w/ the fart can and the neon lights under the side rails (you know the type). I don't think he ever even knew I was there.
Whenever I think back on it I wish I had hit him instead of swerving. That old piece of detroit iron would've gone though that ricer like a battering ram!
I have hated those things ever since... I hate Honda, Mitsubishi, all of em!

To get the post back on point.... If you have a classic Mustang, hold on to it like grim death. I sold the remains of mine to a good friend who completely repaired it and to my knowledge the car graces the streets of chesapeake VA to this day. I got a 97 GT after and have been a late model guy ever since. However, despite how bitchin my 07 Shelby is... I have serious pangs of regret whenever I see a classic Mustang. I am extreemly happy w/ the retro styled look of my Shelby and my 06 vert. Not quite the classic but very close.

I never liked ricers, but I was just indiferent to them before. After the incident, the sight of one of those fart can buggies just reminds me of what that guy did that night.

I didn't get squat and they upped my rate. I'd love to take that #$%^ gecko fishing, bet I could catch a good size catfish with him on the hook.
I use USAA these days.

My buddy gave me $5,000 for the 65 which I put down on a new 97 gt. In retrospect, I think he really got the better end of the deal. I am glad though, he was always a good friend.

GEICO stands for Government Employee Insurance Company... Obviously they arent following thier original charter!
I got nothing on my claim and my next bill included a hefty rate increase. I dropped the policy and insured my 97 with allstate. I was harrassed by Geico for months afterward, trying to get me to pay for a policy that I officially cancelled. I had to get a Jag to call them and get them off my back.
Really bad experience... Not only did I lose my 1st mustang, I had to deal w/ those crooks for months afterward.
Ironically 4 years later the 97 was wrecked when a woman RAN A RED LIGHT!
She hit the car ahead of me and both cars spun into me.
Allstate paid off the car for full value.
I also learned how safe a mustang really is.... The car was unrecognisable but, thanks to God and the Ford motor company I walked away w/out a scratch.
