Went to them to get my gears done. They quoted me around $300-$360 depending on how difficult the install was going to be... Next day I pick up my car, the bill was $420. Keep in mind I had everything, gears, differential, axles, bearings and seals already. Only thing I didn't have was gear fluid...So I guess they mark up gear fluid to $60... Then I started backing up my car.... ABS light came on, so I pulled right back in and told them to fix it. The mechanic just tries to clear the codes and call it good. Once again I back out and light comes on... So the mechanic is trying to tell me he didn't touch anything to do with the ABS system, when we all know very well that the ABS wheel is attached to the axles. Anyways Mr.Olsen comes out and hears us arguing, so we throw the car on the lift. Come to find out the passenger side ABS pickup was unbolted a little bit and was sticking out. Mechanic tried saying that's how he found it and it wasn't his fault. Well thankfully Mr.O tells him to unbolt it all the way and take it out and fix it..... The mechanic tried telling me I needed a new sensor... After calling b.s. on that and fixing the sensor I was finally on my way home... What was the problem? The nut inside the abs sensor had came out of its plastic housing a little and needed to be pushed back in. Work fine now, just something that they could have checked and fixed before I even got there.
