Up until now, the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) governance has kept thecompetition in the circuit limited to standard powertrains as theyare produced in Detroit. After a paradigm shift, the NHRA has made the choice to allowthe 2008 ROUSH supercharged 4.6L V8, which is commonly found under the hood of the Stage 3 Mustang and P-51A Mustang, into official NHRA competition.
