you should have just painet the ridged part. thats what i did and it looks pretty sharp. they dont look bad though. ill post up some pics of mine. make sure you paint them thick before reinstall, the passenger side has all those lines rubbing it.

total it has around 4 coats on them. i hate how spray paint has inevitable overspray. i could have done a better job but at the rate the heat was drying the **** i wasn't able to even try to repair what small screw ups i did have. over all. i give my self a 6 out of 10.

in regular sunlight the covers look black cherry. i think it will be pretty in the engine bay. hopefully oil wont ruin it and make it worse but its whatever =)
