well he still most likly has a good crank and rods.. it just has a small knock.. so turn the crank like i said.. buy set of nice pistons and like you said arp everything.. and he has a really nice setup...

If he has stock rods...and pistons...thats NOT a nice setup...cast = no no for a boosted engine...if you wanna make some power anyways.

if i was just strickly to do the rotating assembly i would recondition the crank, i believe it is good to 600 plus HP and would put mahle rods and pistons and of course the bearings...

well ive done a ****load of research and it came out to DSS pistons and rods. i did not go with h beam rods because im not going over 600 HP .... yet. still need to find out if my crank is in good condition. either way its getting turned. block is going to be bored out .020 over and heads will be ported and polished. what im going with will keep me in the game without blowing the bank. then later down the road when i have a little money saved ill go bigger and better.

I went with Manley Rods, Diamond pistons with File to fit rings, Crowler cams, Cobra Crank, Cobra oil pump, Good bearings, and it was one of the Nastiest 2V's around. Granted I spent a lot of money on the car but it was ingesting a 150 shot and loved every minute of it.
