Porsche Boxster S

I was driving along using cruise control not to draw attention and then suddenly this old asian man in a (2000?) Porsche Boxster S rolls up next to me and takes off fast. We meet at the next stop light and he revs. So I turn off traction control and go on green. We stayed side by side with me slightly ahead until 60 where I backed off since the speed limit's 45.

Nice little car that really sounds amazing when it's at high-rpm's. But not too fast.

Then later on down scripps poway road there was a sixer that had a steeda spoiler and a giant MUSTANG banner on the front. It even sounded funny!

Jolly ho. I want more power.

Low end torque is something you have on him. Dont try to race one in the twisties though. They are pretty decent. Those Porsche's need to stay in the higher RPM's to make good power.

Nice kill and good idea to back off at 60. Dont need to get the car impounded already. LOL

Yeahhh. I don't plan on getting in insane amounts of trouble already! I wanna cruise up to palomar for a weekend sometime. I need a map though of how to get there :p I did Wildcat to 67 at 2am and THAT was fun.

The pre 2007 Boxster S has 258 hp and the 2007 and up has 295 hp. So, that's pretty good you stayed with him.

Take the 15N and go east on the 76, that will take you up Palomar Mtns.

Even though at 2 am there is less traffic the Wildcat canyon road is very dangerous. That is about when all the drunks are leaving the casino. Be carefull.

True. But at least at night, you can see beams on oncoming headlights. And the fun part is after the casino :)

Take the 8E to Sunrise Highway. It will take you out toward Julian and there is very few people on that road.

And BTW: Get used to the car before you performance drive it. Knowing the car inside and out will save you. and for Palomar Mountain, dont go down the really twisty side with stock brakes......right Yose? It took 4.5 minutes to have my rotors glowing and very little braking ability.

My brakes were fine......I think it was just you pushing too hard to keep up with me. I dont mean that as an insult but you was pushing your car pretty hard cause I know I was..... Bee Jay will probably start grinning again when he reads this lol.

I would say when you are dragging your front bumper in the turns that you are right at the limit of controlable and crazy lol.

^^^LOL

I actually wasnt pushing it too hard, the car has push issues coming out of the turns so I was braking hard to stay on 1 side of the road. I was going about 75% of what the car could do, with the exception of the brakes. Nothing some ceramic pads wont cure though.

Hmmm. How much are good brakes? I got a feeling my Driver Front is messing up, something's ratteling and I haven't had a chance to look. I just noticed when i got home...

Edit: It's just the heat shield. I can tighten that up as soon as the rolling door for the chassis lift bay gets fixed xD

good pads or a whole setup? Whole setup for rotors and calipers is about 1K front and 1K back.......but just upgraded pads are about 100 dollars to replace the normal pads you have.

Hmm. Is there anywhere I can just pick those up locally? I don't mind paying a little more to pick them up from a shop.
