Powdercoating Stock rims

Does powdercoating effect a rim on a daily driver? I know alot of sites say powdercoating weakens the rim but only under hard driving conditions (track).
Would you suggest powdercoating?
if yes would you suggest my rims in Flat-Black or Semi-gloss?

I don't think, powder coating effects / can weaken a rim.. don't quote me. I am just saying... Powder Coating is just a powder that is baked on to a rim.. Doesn't change the strength of the metal underneath the baked on powder? Unless its a Magnesium wheel might have some effect..

Anyone have more info..

Called a buddy of mine and this is what he said...
The temps for powdercoating is 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes, no where near the critical temps to hurt the magnesium.

highly doubt it would modify the integrity of the wheel as many wheels come this way these days.

however as E is... I'm also not sure
