problems w/ shaker 1000??????

Does anyone have a clue what's up with the crackling in speakers on the CD player and the radio stations? The CD plays but only through a few CD's before it says CD error and won't play till the car in shut off and on again. U can hear the disks turning but it will say CD error and won't play. I'm clueless any ideas what it could be?

hey i gotta shaker 500 sitting here at my house i took it out of my car and put in a pioneer flatscreedn dvd and navigation. i never had any problems with it. If yah want it.

Yep, I know exactly what is wrong... they are junk. I know people that have had their head units replaced more than three times, and they screw up in some way each time they are replaced. Mine, for instance, will insert a 2 second gap between songs no matter what kind of disk you are playing... even factory pressings do this. It has driven me to the point that I just don't use it. Besides... I love the sound of my exhaust much more, anyway... LOL.
