Hi everybody, I'm new to the site and the San Digo area. I figured I would thorw my introduction in the " how do i fix my jacked up car " section of the forum because this is probably where I will spend most of my time.

Anyway, I have a 03 Mach 1 with a Procharged Cobra 4V swap. I bought the car already modded and now I'm digging around in somebody elses mess trying to figure out everything thats been done. One thing I found is i have a bad seal on my supercharger. It's not a big leak, but it does drop oil onto my belts. Was wondering if anybody here has ever had this issue, or ever had to have their procharger rebuilt. Who did it? What did it cost? That kinda stuff. Thanks guys.

If you do it yourself, you will save alot of money, I had my P1 upgraded, I can get you a P/N from napa for the real seal...its like 350 from procharger, and like $3 from napa

Part number please, thanks.

I am also having issues with my mach. It's been to Dante's once already for a quick diagnostics check and there are a few abnormalities, but nothing crazy. The car is going on the Dyno Monday. My big issue is that the car is either not making boost over 4000rpm or just not responding to boost over 4000rpm. Cruising around is fine, but when I jump on it, it doesn't pull very hard. We'll see what happens.

you have a boost gauge in there? belt slip? how many lbs are you running? Built motor? and what other stuff...what MAF and what not?

if its not making the boost dont put it on the dyno. no use in wasing your and his time.

make sure you have no leaks first of all

goto a tire store and buy a valve stem, buy a PVC cap that will fit in one of your charge pipes insert it and pressurize the system with compressed air ( at a gas staion or something ) to the PSI you have for boost. listen for hisses. if thats the case then you need to fix it.

NEVER PUT A BROKEN CAR ON A DYNO. if you know there are issues, fix them before attempting Any kind of numbers

If you bring dante another broken Procharged Mach1...he might shoot himself...lol

Dante thinks my problem might be in the tune, and thats why he wants to put it on the dyno. I talked to the previous owner and he told me that the boost gauge doesn't read true. The highest I've seen the gauge hit was around 5psi. I just got the car and I have a whole lot to learn about it. This is what I get for buying a car from a friend of a friend.

And yeah, first thing Dante said when I poped the hood was, " Oh man, not another procharged mach 1" lol

tuff... do the test i described it will tell you what psi your system will hold. just use a tire guage on the same spot you filled the tubes from

Trust me... i ran 28 psi of air on my talon but only saw 10 psi because of all the leaks ( DO NOT TRUST WORM GEAR CLAMPS )
