you guys like plates that are going on it? :) I ordered these reproductions to get a period correct plate. I still have the current white ones, but these look way better

nice... so those with have tags for the street?

Yeah, I own those plates right now in the usual white plate. I took them off an IROC Z28 I just sold. I have to transfer the plates to the truck and get new stickers. They look so authentic! If I ever have problems I have the dmv issued white plates.

I'll be there just to see what it can do. It's just taking a while to find the little stuff. I had to replace all accessory brackets (p/s, a/c, alt). Lots of scrap yard visits lately.

As soon as it's done I'll be at the Q!!!

Hey anyone recommend a transmission rebuild shop? I'm dropping the C6 tomorrow and it's headed out to a random place in Fallbrook unless you guys/gals know of a reputable shop. It ran fine, but I'll fell better if it's checked out and sealed up. Has several small leaks.

Transmission is almost done! New bearings on the np205 transfer case, shift kit and went from 3 to 4 clutches.

Got the distributor-less ignition system for the 460 project, also a Holley 4 bbl carb, for now.

sample of what the system will look like when I receive it

After taking a break I finally brought it into the final stretch!

Entire engine compartment is in. Just need to get the tranny and exhaust installed between now and next week.

I had to get L&L custom brackets and pulleys. 4x2 brackets won't work on 4x4 chassis.

Gonna crank it over next week with the Mallory distributor, which will give me time to fabricate mounts for the Distributor-Less ignition system with coil packs, then that goes in

WOO HOO!!!!

She's fired up!

Just have to take care of a small coolant leak issue and slap on the Flowmaster exhaust and she's done!

If the ignition looks wierd it's because I dropped in that Distributor-Less ignition system with 2 coil packs above the valve covers. That system works awesome! Engine fired up right away. Still need to adjust the carb.
