Question for Texas WS members...

Hi Y'all,
Simple question (I hope). Are Long Tube Headers legal in Texas? I want to install headers, but I don't see any real advantage to shorties, which are all I can do legally in California.
I am a TX resident and hit on the idea of registering my car with TX plates. I could then install Long tubes and get rid of the front lic. plate ( I hope).
What do Y'all think?

Steve, your sig covers up too much of your car!

I thought about moving to Texas couple of years ago. Cheap house prices but the property tax scared the **** out of me.

Property tax is high, but no state income tax.... The sig Banner was my 1st try, I'll roll w/ it for awhile. I looked up TX state inspection criteria and headers were not even mentioned. All they want is a functional muffler (w/ no holes or repairs). Also upon researching CA I noticed that my car not up for a smog check for another 4 years.

I forgot about the no state income tax. Hmmmmm.....
