I don't want to be the bad guy, but report is the rain is remaining this whole week. Thursday and Friday suppose to be the worst days. And we all know how sensitive RaceLegal is to wet weather. I'm 99% sure it will be cancelled.

Good, then Barona it is!
Barona is running Sat AND Sun. Suppose to be a break in the weather those days.
Was going to both, but if they cancel at the Q, then I am going to be at Barona anyways. Taking either the Shelby or the Cobra to Barona.
Got to get my fix!

That would do it. But it doesn't take much to wake them up. I am just leaving it alone until warr is up. Just a new lower pulley (much lighter) which adds a half a pound of boost and a tune is seeing 70rwhp increases. Troyer did it to one.
There is a guy in Texas who did a 2 pound pulley, tune, and drag radials who is running 12.2
That is impressive!!!!!!

No forged internals. But it is a very strong bottom end. They seem to be holding up at around 450rwhp+. But you have to remember, there are very few running that kind of HP, so no one know what is normal. The heads and cams are exactly the same as the 4.6 3v. The short block seems to be the same as every other 5.4 and I can use a short block from Lightnings. I can find very little info on what is in there currently, but I know it isn't forged.
Its not about HP with these motors. It is the torque. 500tq stock and alot more on tap with minor bolt ons.
I am so impressed with this setup, I am looking into putting my whole drive train into my 98 cobra. 5.4 3v and 4R75W with a Roush supercharger. Not hard to fit in at all and cheap. I have to buy an auto tranny anyways.

Dont think thats what he meant, just a simlar set up. And personally I think there are alot better combos than the Nitemare one to go in your cobra.

Oh noooo! I just want to duplicate the engine & tranny in my car. Now that I see what it can do in a 5000lb truck with the aerodynamics of a brick.
Cheap reliable power.
It hit me.... the truck is deadly but too heavy and the car is a great platform but needs reliable power cheap. They need what each other has.
Do some searches on YouTube for 5.4 3V Mustangs and you can see what the potential is.
But NO, I am not touching the truck, just duplicating what it has.
