Depends on what car I buy coming up here in the next couple months. If I buy another DD and have this stang be my fun car then the motor is coming out and getting stroked with H/C/I. Probably put the 5 speed in too

I know the feeling, which is part of reason I haven't been racing there for a while.
I use to get mad about the lack of setup, safety, and track prep, but after last night, I guess I have learned to just accept it. Anyone who races knows that all they need to do to take that track from a "joke" to something serious is to spend a few dollars on the track prep VHB, add a time board, and give out "real" trophies. But really, they won't because the people who run the races are politicians and university types who don't get it.
But I for one came to one big conclusion last night. It was the funnest race I have been to in a long time. The car was kicking ass, all the setup Orange suggested worked. Subzero and DSG gave me the idea of setting tire pressure lower which helped. I beat everything except a 5 sec drag car. Lots of runs. Got some of the hardest launches I have felt for a long time, despite 1.90 60fts. I knocked down some 8.6's. Nice weather! Got second place.
We had our own cheerleading squad in the crowd. They loved mustangs! I saw ppl in mustangs (not us) doing burnouts (minor ones) in the return lanes because of these girls.
The look of the "regulars" faces when Red and I took the 4000 class. They just couldn't believe our times and wanted to know who we were and what we were driving.
Having some great WickedStang people to hang out with. All in all, it was just great fun. Thanks everyone!

yeah i can see what your saying and as far as these people cheering i for one wasn't getting any play when i was coming to get my slips, i just saw blank stairs and silence, LOL when i heard red say that i was like "WTF wheres my play" LOL
I guess that you need a show car to get some cheers, lol.
i got my cheers... i saw those girls too.
i had my hot lil roommate riding passenger with me when one of those girls yelled out "your boyfriend is hot!" lol good times
i managed to stay with consistant 8.4s and low 8.5s with 2.0 60fts

It can can go either way there with crowds. Last night just happened to be a fun crowd.
Other times, there have some causing trouble. I have people actually in the return lane yelling at cars going by, etc. Just depends.
LOL, those girls last night were great. I am old and also married, but you single guys could have easily had an "easy" date for the night.
02GT, I don't know what to say..... they weren't select, they were all over most Mustangs that came by??? And they pretty much went crazy if you rev'd your car and paid attention to them. And lets just say, these were not ugly girls. How old....not sure about that. Ask Red

I think there was a blond and a brunet Though it doesn't matter like Spdpiolt I'm married too but it was fun having these girls I'll just call it cheering us on as we drove by. They even wanted to get there pitcher taken with me and Spdpolit by the guy the was taking our pics for there web site for winning first and second.
