RaceLegal 5/29 Friday

It looks like they are having the Drag Races this Friday night a Qualcom/RaceLegal.

I plan to go, but not 100% yet. I won't for sure until Thursday.

Anyone else going?

If I go, I will have my Shelby with my DR's and new suspension mods. Track prep will be questionable as usual, but I need to get my practice runs in with this new setup.

Anyone?

We'll be meeting in the target parking lot and then rolling in together.

Arrive Target 5:30PM
Roll OUT 5:45PM

I hear that they will be doing a better prep job this time, I am going for sure. Probably in the Lightning.

I went down the strip today and I had stopped at the start line and took offwith no hook up issues......see what happens when you have a super powerful car, you cant hook........

Im hoping for 100 more ponies and a grip load of torque!!!!!!!! I wont be racing again till I get the cage though. That one crash kind of rattled me. Poor guy did everything right and got taken out and flipped over.

I don't blame you. Surprised Barona didn't say something to me last time I went there when I took out one of the center cones. Nothing like hitting second gear pulling it sideways. I did everything I could to keep her out of the other lane, which I did do btw. I did some waiving to the crowds on both sides of the track before I got straight again. I think I am cursed at Barona. First the throttle sticking, now this. But it made me think a whole lot more about safety. I just need to learn to not push my cars so close to the edge.

The cones are foam for just that reason.

Think about putting a lifter on your gas pedal to help with a stuck throttle or a kill switch.

Just a thought
