Fastest time was

9.23 @77
2.13 60 ft

I say my night average would be 9.3 @ 76 with a 2.2 60 ft average.

Track was terrible. The prep was might as well be no prep. Only one side opened so, everyone was running on it. As for my spinning, there's run I was spinning like crazy. Couple of runs had decent hook. But for the most part, I was spinning or had some kind of spin the whole night. But I think I would have gotten better hook if I was running at Barona with DRs I had tonight.

However, it was not all lost. Did beat the imports, a civic, an old Mitsubishi, a Evol (doubt it was turbo), and a Neon (SRT4). Beat a 5.0, but all loses were to Mustangs and a Maverick.

Sub, I have a good feeling in your case that the et streets just werent getting hot enough. Plus as already mentioned the lack of track prep, but that's what happens when you go to the Q. You leave disappointed with the value of your $35.

You need to make up the time in the 60ft. I think that your method of madness must be to mash the throttle from idle. From talking to you last night I gathered that the car would leave the line harder when doing so. If you can do that and get the tires not to spin I think you have a good 9.1 in here, but not much more until you start modding.

I did manage an 8.93 last night. But I will have to look at my timeslip, I will be at Barona tonight taking vids, probably not racing so that I can take vids of everybody. I will go the test&tune the night before the event.

I try to make as many of my runs as I can in the same lane, so differences are more easily attributed to changes. That's not always possible, what with traffic direction (or lack thereof). I think the left lane was a little faster, and both were faster than the other track.

In my chart, I convert red-light R/Ts to deviation from .500, and add .500, figuring the size of the discrepancy from perfect is more descriptive of the effort that way, and easier for me to put into the spreadsheet.

Look at the data for differences among "Tunes". I think it shows the Performance Tune is the best compromise, yielding best or close-to-best numbers in the four measured tasks.

I believe the Torque Tune, which makes the exhaust note especially tough-sounding, yields too much wheelspin - that is, more-too-much-wheelspin - than the other modes. Kind of neat to hear that little "chirp" at the 1-2 shift in each Tune mode (except Stock).

I also think several of my "W's" were the result of sandbaggers and people being kind. Look at number 4074 on line 62. That had to be a gift, didn't it?

So I guess the tires didnt help ya as much as I figured. Sorry Danny....I was pulling for ya.

No, its not the tires. The track just sucks at the Q. But I ended up going to Barona and I think my cars is where it is at. I did manage to run a 9.24. But my other runs are 9.4 and 2.1 60 ft were pretty consisten the whole night.

Like Bobby said, 9.1 is probably I can hope for for now. Maybe 9.2 is the best this car will give me at this time. But I shouldn't complain, that's a whole second better then what it was before. But James, your tires did hook good when I meshed it on the green without loading it like Bobby suggested. That's when I ran the 9.2.

Thanks for letting me try the tires. I'll bring it back to your house on Thursday. I'll give Angel a call to see when she'll be home. I still may get the ET streets in the future. I believe they are much better then the Nittos.

yeah I am glad you liked them. Did ya get them heated up enough this time? I knew you would do better at Barona. Yeah just gove Angel a call and she should be there after 5 pm.

Yeah, I got them smoking. The 9.2 run, I heated for a longer period of time then all the other time. So, that might be the key. I just have to stay on longer in the burn box. Might upset some people, but got to get them tires heated especially if I'm going to use them Nittos.
