Mostly foot brake, but did try couple from idle. I was spinning out from idle, too. But I contribute that to the poor track condition. Everybody was spinning.

I started from idle at Barona and ran my fastest time of the night with that. So, I'm thinking starting from idle is the best for me given the track condition is good and I get a good hook with the DRs.

i always foot brake. i get nothing but spin if i launch at idle. amazing you can hook launching at idle with 4.30's.

stock rear springs actually aren't bad for drag racing

i know that's true about the mach springs and suspension, dunno about gt's. mach spring rates are different than gt's and machs came stock with tokico blues shocks.

i think the gts are better because if i remember correctly the mach 1 has a stiffer rear spring also

hmmm... always thought machs had better cause i would almost guarantee if i upgraded my suspension parts, there'd be a gt owner who'd want my takeoffs as an upgrade.

never heard of a mach owner switching to gt suspension as an upgrade either. i think there is a mach 1 on the registry running 10's in the quarter on stock suspension, has a new edge gt ran 10's in the quarter on stock suspension?

i'll do some research and find out which is better, though my gut is telling me the mach is. :)

most GT owners want Mach springs because they are slightly shorter, and they have a sportier feel on the road, but yes a Mach 1 switching to GT springs is stupid, if a mach 1 owner wants a softer spring rate they should go aftermarket so they can get the specific rate for their application

I have H&R race springs on mine and they seem to do great. My car dont lift the front but seems to squat and take off. I wanna get it to pop a wheelie lmao. I am going to disconnect the front sway bar the next time I race though......

an upgrade is an upgrade, isn't it? if the stock gt suspension is better than the machs, mach 1 owners should be raiding junk yards for the gt suspension. i know i'd raid a junk yard for a focus fuel pump if i had the chance.

how many gt owners switch out their springs for crappy eibachs to lower their stangs? don't see a lot of interest from mach owners even if the gt owners are selling their springs for $25. $25 for better springs that will knock down my time in the 1/4... almost have to be a fool not to jump on them. but for some reason mach owners don't. and i don't think it's just cause they could spend the money for something better. i could be wrong though. :)

fangs says my mach lifts the front and squats in the rear. i can feel / see it slightly when i launch my mach at the track. it's a nice feeling. with enough tq, and some skinnies... it'd be awesome to see a mach lift tire. i think feared in the closest one in the central valley to doing that in a mach. :)

I will be rusty as heck when I get back. Been driving on the wrong side of the road, shifting with my left hand, shift paterns backwards........ Might take me a while to get back to normal.

Just make sure you don't go into reverse when you thought you were shifting to second. LOL!
