radiator fan

so i got the dedicated drive set up. ( http://www.houseofboost.com/store/s...ustang-dedicated-bracket-system/prod_721.html ) and it turns out, that the radiator fan wont fit. it turns out that with the new drive, the blower ends up sitting about half an inch from the radiator, and thats without the fan in. so theres barely enough room there for the raw mesh filter, which is the smallest filter that they (ati) sell. so i thought about a few things, all of which dont seem like would work too well.

1) i thouhgt about turning the fan around in its shroud and putting it on the other side of the radiator, between the intercooler and the radiator. but there is only about 1.5 inches between the radiator and the intercooler. so considering the fan is much thicker. this idea wont work, i would need a very thin fan if it were to work.

2) and i also thought about puttingthe fan in the lower corner of the radiator. but with this i would still have clearance issues with the intercoler tubbing and even with the blower itself at the top of the radiator. also along with thatit would be pulling air throught about the bottom of the radiator only, so id rather not do that either!

im attempting to do this without buying a new fan, which would make it real easy, but the money is a bit tight right now, so it would be fairly hard to do!

so any one with a few ideas let me know im taking any suggestions that could help! thanks yall

alright as requested, here are a few critical pics,

first, just for fun. heres a pic of the dedicated drive from house of boost and ati:

the distance between the radiator and the blower, less than an inch:

the distance between the radiator and the intercooler, right in around 2 inches exactly:

and of course the radiator fan, and the shroud:

the depth of the fan, right in around 3.5 inches:

anything else???????????

naw, i trimmed all the fat off the radiator, and fitted it between the fame behind the intercooler. this allowed me to after trimming up the fan shroud a bit to stuff it in there. now i have a bit of a differant problem. as the blower sits the outlet points directly at the fan motor. i can rotate the compressor casing, but at this point id have to rotate it to about 6 oclock. and at that point itd be pointing directly at the abs unit.

so now what to do with the abs unit. its got hard lines so its hard to just relocate it. so i was thinking of doin an abs delete. that would give me the space, or atleast i would hope. and i would be able to get around the fan.

so is there a way to delete the abs without getting this little delete block?maybe like capping the lines or something. if i can just remove the lines from the bay all together. that would be ideal. but my question is. how plausable would it be?

I would say you are either going to have to pull the radiator forward or lose the mesh filter and get some slim line fans. Either way that fan isn't going to cut it. It's ugly as hell anyway

true. but either way, with the radiator being so close to the blower that reguardless of the fan i get, its gonna be in the way of the intercooler tubbing.i did pull the radiator foward. and it fits.im thinking of keeping my fan for now, just to get the car on the road. then latter get a better fan to replace it. as of right now the goal is to get the thing on the street so anything that i can do to keep moving foward is ideal.
