A race to Julian I mean cruise to Julian sounds good. They have some good buffalo burgers there too.

blue boss

Saginaw Texas
Its a phrase which comes straight from our naval tradition Chief,, to be there "with bells on" means to run there quickly.. i.e. ring up bells for maximum speed. nes pa?

LOL! You got me Steve, I did not know that. It sounds good but I cannot find that phase anywhere..where did you find it? I may want to use that later....nes pa...you know what I mean?

Fighting Sailor

San Angelo TX
It used to be in the Navy traditions book, but has gone away along with son of a gun, show a leg and Bitter end... No traditions left anymore.. Anyway it was sort of a Destroyerman's phrase.. Big deck sailors would never have ocassion to hear of it. Another great one refering to High speed "runnin with a bone in her teeth" which refers to the white curling wake off the bow of a destroyer at high speed.
