reading a trouble code

i've got a code reader but don't have the book and my CES light came on the other day, well brfore i clear it i would like to know what code it is. does anyone havy a trouble code book or know how i could find outr what the code means?

Just so you know, if you clear the code by disconnecting the battery (poor man's method) and it doesn't come back, then you have no worries. If it does come back, and you want to know what it is, then you need a code reader which you obviously have.

The code is usually just an general indication of where to start looking for the problem. I had one once that said the voltage at one terminal of the MAF was too low.

That didn't tell me much.

Turned out the MAF was dirty and needed cleaning.

well i had a code pop up once before and i cleared it to turn off the light. and it stayed off till i ran it hard agian. i think it has to do with the pre-cats being gone.

for some odd reason i have never got a trouble code for having no cats, i think it was because i had a diablo tune on it. who knows....

sometimes codes will go away because the computer runs in cycles checking everything if it doesnt detect it again it will go away
