Hey as anyone expirenced what fels like rear end loose? Sory guys only way I can describe it to you. Sometimes when switching lanes and hitting those bumps( lane deviders) my rear end shakes and feels loose. Maybe I am just trippin cause of accident. Has anyone expirenced this with bald tires? My tires are shot. ITs pretty bad when you have melted tire on sidewall from a burnout lol. going to buy BFG D/R ASAP
hmmm

Black my car is at the shop right now for the same reason. I just had the complete IRS redone under ford Warranty and when they gave it back to me the whole rear felt like it was loose. I took it back and they say it may need an all wheel alignment. We will see. On your car you can't align the rear but, on the front you may need one.

every car needs a 4 wheel alingment! You cant do an alingment on the front tires with out knowing where the backs are.. Do you remember the car doing it before the accident??

If you think about it, when alinging the front tires its useless if they arent striat with the back.. and just because they aren't ajustable. doesnt mean they arent out of spec, Phil when you go to get an alingment ask for a 4 wheel... if they argue with you go somewhere else!

I cant believe they redid the rearend on your cobra and didnt aline it Emilio! thats a no brainer for any mechanic! if you take somthing apart that has a spec....... it needs to be put back in to spec! I just hate lazy people... glade they are fixing it know but the second trip could have been avoided!

Andy they did a 4 wheel when I first lowered it. I dont want to pay the money to have them do it again though. I have to pick up a trim piece tommorw though so going to ask them to look at it again. I think my chamber is off. Will this make it feel loose? I know they replaced a strut so maybe its off. It does look like passenger side is tilted in to far that I think about it you know. I guess bald tires make it bad too. I been thinking about not running at qualcom because of tires. Nah I will make a couple passes. Fun though when you can melt tires through first second and third gear lol

if a strut was replaced the insurance should have payed for a new 4 wheel alignement!

Mach no I didnt hit that hard. Just cosmetic damage. I went to race legal tonight and ran. I made 3 passes. I wasnt empressed with my times at all but bald tires what do you expect. I did find that launching hard out of of second really improved my times with the bald tires so with D/R I will do same on 1/8 mile mile tracks.

No vibiration BJ. I think Its cause I have bald tires and I havent had my car back tha long. so not use to the way it feels. I been looking at some new shocks and struts as well. I have factory on there and I race alot along with car being loered they are probaly really broke in and worn.

Anyone have a suggestion on shocks and struts. I need something that will perform on track and help my launch

What about your Panhard bar Phil? If you are lowered you need to replace the stock one with an adjustable version. If you do not replace it the rearend will be slightly offset. It can still be aligned and not be centered. What that will cause is.....if you turn one direction the rear will break loose easy. The other direction it will seem to plant better. It is due to the rear end offset.

Mine is lowered and does not have an adjustable on it. If I turn to the right and accelerate it plants well. But when I go left.....TO QUOTE PHIL "It is a great manuver that any drifting champion would be proud of!" Makes for a good time!

But are you lowered? If you are that might be what is wrong.

If you look at mine from the back you can not tell it is not centered. But if you compare where the wheels sit they are closer to the fenderwell lip on one side than the other.

I am going to talk to Stang Suspension as well as measure form hub to fender to see if it is off. Going to replace my drive shaft, headers, new tires, ajustable upper control arm in rear, and add NOS, oh and seq tail lights lol, hopfully this next week. I think are W-2's are out. The rest goes to wife. When I get back from cruise I am doing cams and head work and I plan on adding motion charge delets, T.B. spacer, stage2 clutch, maybe putting my BBK T.B. on car and SCT tuner. I might go with a set of 15 inch wheels if I can find some to clear my brakes. Going to get some slicks and skinnys for braket racing at FFW 08. Going to run my wheels w/ M.T. Drag radials for true street. I cant get a decent tune down here so switching over to SCT. :)

P.S. The wife recomended " babe you should get some real race tires like those fast ones for OUR car so you dont mess up your nice ones" She ment slicks LOL She also talked about buying another mustang to build so we dont race our new one. If I dont get to trailor my blackstallion to FFW then maybe I will have something else to take up there. Keep your fingers crossed guys!

Keep you guys posted on MODS

Mine is dropped 1.5 inches all the way around, and the rear-end is right where it should be. I do have an adjustable panhard bar, but it is set exactly where the stock length was. One thing I should mention... I found that adjustable or not, mine felt loose until I added the panhard bar brace, for what it's worth.
