removing cat. converter

do u guys recommend takin the cat converter from my pipes,i want more sound,i was just worried about when doin smog,how much do they charge to put them back.

you could pick up a off road mid pipe for 150 and install it your self, easy or spend the money on labor to have the cats removed and then welded up and still not have as good as performance and/or sound of a 2.5 inch mid pipe.

thats right, factory h-pipe is only 2 1/4 in. all aftermarket kits are 2 1/2-3 in"
and are mandrel bent. even if you had a shop make you a 2 1/2 h/x pipe it would be crush bend. save your wallet (longrun) and save yourself the headachs spend the $200 and do it right. $150= o/r h or x pipe, and $50 =mils
