What area of town is it in?
I'm not sure, but I think you need a license to do repo work. I could be wrong though.

No license needed, just proof of employment with a repo company that is bonded and insured. Usually orders for repo is enough should law enforcement need to become involved. An indivual can repo for someone or a company as long as written permission from the legal owner/lien holder is evident.

Thanks for the info, Tom.

Depends on what kind of car is being repo'ed. I wouldn't hang my ass out on the line for a 93 Cavalier, but I would for a Termy or a KR.

I dont know a SoCal repo man but I can tell you that it is not as easy as walking up w/ the keys and starting it. I knew I guy that repo'd cars in Detroit (not that SD is as dangerous as D-town but, you never know how crazy the owner is). Anyway he and his partner were taking a car one night and the owner came running out with a tire iron, chased them down before they could hit the gas he was on the back of their truck and threw the 4 way through the back window hitting his partner in the head. I dont remeber how bad the damage was but I know he had to get stitches in his head. Not to mention they have been shot at a few times. Their truck is cool though... It appears to be a regular pickup truck from the out side but with the press of a button a tow boom pops out from the bed and the tail gate drops so they can hook up and haul ass before the owners know what hit em...
