<div>20 years ago the “cool” thing to do was have the most attention-grabbing vibrant multi-color paint scheme you could afford to paint your car with, but the tables have turned in favor of street legal cars that look close to what the factory put out. Not only are these cars cool they make for quite the ‘sleeper’. This car was formerly a nitrous-assisted pony but that is all changing with the new 91mm turbocharged power plant. <br />

This stock type suspension true 10.5/325 drag radial car will get its power from a 347” small block Ford with a <a href="http://www.turboneticsinc.com/" target="_blank">Turbonetics</a> 91mm turbo. The turbo kit was built by Travis Quillen and includes a 60mm wastegate, Turbonetics “Godzilla” Blow Off Valve and a PT1800 water-to-air intercooler to keep the boost charge at desired temperature levels for maximum power. An <a href="http://www.ams1000.com/home/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.3" target="_blank">AMS 1000</a> boost controller will keep the boost in control in conjunction with <a href="http://www.fuelairspark.com/" target="_blank">FAST</a> fuel injection and a <a href="http://www.msdignition.com/" target="_blank">MSD</a> 7531 ignition.<br />
<br />
The intake on this killer small block will be from <a href="http://www.edelbrock.com/" target="_blank">Edelbrock</a> with a 90mm throttle body atop a set of the older-style <a href="http://www.trickflow.com/emain.asp" target="_blank">Trickflow</a> TFS Highport series cylinder heads. For the task of taking this power from the flywheel to the rear tires will be a <a href="http://www.racewithjw.com/jw-trans.html" target="_blank">JW</a> powerglide with trans-brake and a <a href="http://www.moserengineering.com/" target="_blank">Moser</a> 9” Ford rear end with <a href="http://www.afabcorp.com/AFCO_Dynatech_USbrake/merchant.mvc?Screen=SFNT&Store_Code=A" target="_blank">Afco</a> coilovers buttoning up the rear suspension. <br />

S&G would also like to thank Rodney McCall of Portland, TN for the quality construction of their 25.5 spec rollcage and also thanks to Dusty Bradford for all the help. S&G plans to keep us updated as this project progresses so stay tuned. Look to see this bullet lay down some impressive times on the 1320 this year. <br />
