Once again, Saleen goes the extra mile to bring something new and interesting into the hearts of mustang enthusiasts. With the enormous line of specialty mustangs already being offered by Saleen, its exciting to see these guys are still hard at work building some of baddest mustangs America has ever seen. Saleen introduces the new H302 and H302SC, to their already famed Heritage Product Line.
Currently in production now, the new H302 sports a very healthy all new Saleen built 5.0L, 3-valve engine. In its naturally aspirated form, it produces a very impressive 390bhp, thanks to its 5-axis CNC ported cylinder heads, improved fuel system and bullet proof rotating assembly.
With all this gallop, the new H302 needed a way to put the power down. Power is transferred through a 6-speed manual gearbox, where it meets the ground through a set of forged 19in wheels, wearing Pirelli shoes. The car is outfitted with Saleen Racecraft suspension on all four corners, and stopping power comes from a set of massive 14in vented brake discs with four piston calipers.
If the H302 just isn’t enough, Saleen also produces a supercharged version. Dubbed the H302 ‘SC’, it shares the same basic platform, body modifications, suspension and engine as its sibling the H302. The major difference although, is the intercooled supercharger lurking under the hood. Producing a tire-melting 580hp, with 525lb-ft of torque, this Saleen rivals the performance of the Shebly GT500 and newly released GT500KR.
The exterior and lines of the new H302, are.. well, very distinguished. Following close similarities to the Parnelli Jones Special Edition, the H302 mimics the ideas and concepts of yester-years Boss mustangs. “The ‘H’ line draws its inspiration from the late sixties Boss 302 Mustang and is a real compliment to the Ford family Heritage.” says Saleen Vice Chairman and Chief Technical Officer, Chris Theodore. With this kind of styling, its easy to assume that mustang enthusiasts are going to jump at any chance they get, to own a piece of this heritage.

With production of the H302SC already in motion since the middle of December 2007, and the H302 months before that, expect to catch a glimpse of these cars on the street very soon. If you’re interested in one of these machines, expect to pay for its quality and exclusivity, as the base price for the H302 comes in at $56,999 and $74,999 for the H302SC.
