Firstly, I would just like to note those who came to the meeting,

as well as the President of San Diego Stangs to represent his club.

We started off the meeting discussing the T-shirts for MvWIII,
Sponsors for the T-shirts and the Event in general, we need 8 sponsors at $150 ea. The design for the shirt will run $75. The shirts will be around $8 ea, we want at-least 100 shirts made for this event.
Danny will be handling the shirts and will be cantacting the guy who makes them by next week, he said that he will have the design ready by next months board member meeting on Feb. 9th, so that Emilio can start selling them on the website Now just a reminder, but Barona wants their name on the shirts as well, along with alot of our sponsors for the event.
Now speaking of sponsors, we have 2 that have already paid, those are Renegade Performance and DG Customs, Emilio has sent e-mails to the other prospective sponsors but nobody else has gotten back to us yet. Emilio also needs to E-mail danny the logos to the sponsors so that they can be put on the shirt. The shirts will be somewhere around $20-$25 ea.
Emilio will be putting a PDF file up on the website so that we can bring a formulated, nice, neat page explaining what we need and what we are planning to th sponsors. The form will have all the information they need.
I believe that Steve is going to be talking to the other Sponsors to get them on-board.

Now sidetracking to the Dyno Shootout, It will be held at DMP with $40 a pull, We will get $5 of each dyno run for the club, as far as traphies go, northerncountry will be handling the plaques for those, he will also be handling the ordering of the trophies for MvW III. We also need to put up a Trophy Topic in the board member section. Dante has agreed that if we get enough people that it can be a 2 day event, we can have 18 people per day, so we really need to start inviting the Chevy and the Mopar clubs too.

Going back to MvW III, we will need 8 sets or so of trophies, we will have the sponsors on the flyers and they will also all be announced over the speakers at the track. We also need to contact Barona and see if we can get some of the Gate money, If we could get $10 out of the $40 race fee, we could have much larger pots for the winers, somewhere in the $200-$300 range for the open comp winners and larger prizes than last year for all the other classes. We are also lucky this year in that on the Day of the event, the only other events being held are the Gambler's Grudge and Test&Tune, so we will be able to get our event done quicker and not be leaving so late. It will also be held during the day this time so that it is a bit warmer for everybody. We need to contact Barona and discuss some things as soon as we can. We need more people on the tent this time so that 2 people are'nt stuck there for 7 hours. The president of San Diego Stangs has said that he will be a sponsor, I am not holding it onto him to do that but he is welcome too.

Now about the Calendar, we were planning to sell whatever is left after the initial run at a reduced price at our later events, maybe around $4.

We will be taking the race car out to the Car Craft Drag Event In Arizona, we Are extremely grateful to Tom who said that we could use his trailer and Dante who said that we could Use his Winnebago and his trailer as well. If you would like to attend you are welcome to. By that time we will have the Shifter, the NOS, and we should have the Torque Converter.

We need to decide whether or not we want to do the Spectrum show up in Irvine on the the 31st of January.

We want to meet with Perry Ford and talk to them about holding a car show there sometime in the summer. The Auto Museum also used to have a San diego Car Club council meeting every other tuesday, so we need to see if they still have that going on, it would make the turnout's much better at our events.

We were also talking about an interim replacement for Todd until he gets back but haven't settled on anything yet.

That concludes our meeting

We also need to set up for voting in a new Treasurer, we can't do without one of those.
