Not car related, but.....
My (other passion) R/C boat club; Mission Bay Scale R/C Boaters, is hosting the 1st tri-annual Mission Bay Scale Open Fun Day on Saturday May 9th. At the San Diego model boat pond located on Vacation Island in the center of Mission bay. We will have scale R/C groups from all of SOCAL including Task Force 96 (scale warships), The Subcommittee (R/C Submarines), Maritime modelers, and Inland nautical society. We will be set up 1st thing Saturday morning and will run until sunset. You will see a wide range of boats from Tugs and Sailboats to Submarines and Battleships at this event (all fully functional).
Not a car thing but well worth a look see with the Family.
Take Ingraham off Sea World drive and turn left onto Vacation Isle (pond is located to the left of the Paradise resort)
