Firestorm 2007 Benefit Car Wash

OK guys here it is..... This is in the works WickedStangs San Diego. The plan is to have this on Saturday November 10th, 2007. The proceeds from this would be donated to the American Red Cross to be for the victims of the San Diego fires (those who have lost everything). There is not alot of time to put this together so I need everyone to assist on this one.

What is needed:

1. A good spot for about 20-30 volunteers to conduct the wash and show our cars at the same time. This would preferrably be in a high traffic area that will get us maximum exposure.

2. Volunteers to come out and spend most of the day washing cars even if they are not MUSTANGS. We will need about 20-30 for the day.


3. A PR rep to contact radio stations or television stations locally to get the word out about it. That way we get more people to come and give money for the cause.


4. Supplies....I think that is self explanatory.


5. Some people to bring a grill and some food for us during the day.


6. Someone with accounting skills to make sure we keep the money side straight.


7. A good attitude and passion to help others.


I know this is short notice with the planning but anything you guys can do to help would be great. Thanks I am hoping this will go well and get us recognized. Emilio let me know what Sponsors want to be involved and if I can put their logo's on the flyer or not. Also, what do you have as far as locations?

I was thinking like JBA but it is a little out of the way right?
PETCO would be ok but I don't know how much traffic we could get down there or if they would want cash from us for it.
Sports Arena is very high traffic and we may be able to convince them to let us use their lot if there are no events planned there.

Hey Henry,
There is a gas station at the Sports Arena......you know what I am gonna ask....Can you use some of your Asian influence and go over there and get it reserved for us to use on Saturday the 10th of Nov? It would be greatly appreciated. You seem to convince people to do stuff for you pretty easily. Thanks alot.

It is right on Sports Arena BLVD in front of the Sports Arena..... Not sure of the address.
If they say no try the actual Sports Arena. Does not hurt to ask. If they say no ask if it is because you are Asian and say that you are gonna contact the press about it because they are not treating you equal.....they should say yes then. If all else fails I have a friend that works at the Home Depot on Sports Arena BLVD. He can probably get us in there. Who knows though.

Henry, any update on the place? We need this to get locked down soon. So we can get this out to other clubs and to the communitty. No flyers= no customers. Thanks all. I look forward to this doing well so we can say that WS made a difference in the San Diego area. Maybe in return for our generosity and caring the cops will give us a warning sometime......nahhhhh probably not but hey you never know. Karma is funny sometimes. And Henry getting that Termy he may need some assistance with the local PD's. J/K
